Common Questions About Replacement Filters
Which replacement filter fits my air purifier?
Pick your system above; each product page lists the models it fits. Jade 1.0 parts fit the Surgically Clean Air Jade SCA5000C, and Jade 2.0 parts fit the SCA5100C. RPS and RespirAide carbon filters and UV bulbs fit the RPS 600S, RPS 600SL, and RespirAide 200T, 300T, and 400T. Not sure? Call (519) 686-3595 and tell us the model.
How often do I change the MedicAir® Pro filter cartridge?
About every 9 months to a year. The all-in-one cartridge holds the pre-filter, H13 HEPA filter, carbon filter, and UV-C bulb, and it lasts 5,000 hours or longer, depending on use and environment.
How often do RPS and RespirAide filters need changing?
Change the carbon filter 2 to 4 times a year: twice for effective odor control, and 4 times for the best odor control (recommended for smokers). Change the UV bulbs once a year, and clean the electronic cell each time you change the carbon filter: see the cleaning instructions.
How long do the UV lamps last?
The replacement lamps for Platinum PURE, Platinum PCO, Platinum Carbon UV, APCO, and Ultravation UVCatalyst systems come as 2-year or 3-year lamps. After that, the UV light loses strength, so replacement is recommended. Within our service area, our technicians can change the lamp for you: see air purifier service.
How often are the 7-stage water filters changed?
Filters #1, 2, and 3 every 1 to 3 years, and filters #4 to 7 every 3 to 5 years, sooner with heavy water use. The simple rhythm: alternate the 1-2-3 Pack and the All 7 Pack.
