Will it fit?

It fits the Fresh-Aire UV APCO: the TUVA-ER and TUVA-DER (TUV-APCO-ER and TUV-APCO-DER) and the TUV-APCO-ER2 and TUV-APCO-DER2. The model is marked on the front panel of the unit. The bulb is 357 mm (14 inches) long.

It replaces these Fresh-Aire UV bulbs:

• TUVL-115: the 1-year bulb
• TUVL-215: the 2-year bulb

Blue-Tube and APCO Mag units take a bulb with a cable attached to its end (part numbers ending in P), which is a different part.

2-year or 3-year bulb?

Same size, same fit. The 3-year bulb runs a year longer between changes. A UV bulb loses strength gradually and still glows when it's worn, so change it on schedule rather than waiting for it to go dark.

Changing the bulb

Turn off the power before you open the unit, and never look at a lit UV bulb. Hold the new bulb by its ends: fingerprints on the glass block UV light. The old bulb contains mercury, so recycle it the way you would a fluorescent tube.
