The 12-inch replacement UV lamp for the Ultravation UVCatalyst whole-home air purifier. It replaces Ultravation lamp AS-IH-1001, produces no ozone, and comes in two lives: 2 years or 3 years. Free shipping to the US and Canada.

Will it fit?

Yes, if you have an Ultravation UVCatalyst. Every UVCatalyst model runs on this 12-inch lamp: the 24-volt UVCatalyst-1224, the 120–240-volt UVCatalyst-1200, and the Signature Series versions of both (SS-UVCatalyst).

The end of your model number tells you how many lamps you need:

  • No suffix (UVCatalyst-1224, UVCatalyst-1200): one lamp.
  • -12R (UVCatalyst-1224-12R, UVCatalyst-1200-12R): two lamps. The remote coil lamp is the same 12-inch lamp.
  • -17R (UVCatalyst-1224-17R, UVCatalyst-1200-17R): one of these, plus a 17-inch remote coil lamp, which is a different part (Ultravation AS-IH-1003).

2-year or 3-year lamp?

Same lamp, same fit. The 2-year lamp is rated for about 18,000 hours of continuous running and the 3-year lamp for about 27,000. A UV lamp loses strength gradually and still glows when it's worn, so change it on schedule rather than waiting for it to go dark.

Changing the lamp

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the power module's front cover.
  2. Remove the lamp screws and slide the old lamp out.
  3. Fit the new lamp without touching the glass. Fingerprints block UV light, so wipe the glass with rubbing alcohol and a dry cloth if you do.
  4. Fasten the lamp screws, put the cover back on, and plug the unit in.
  5. Signature Series only: with the power on, hold the RESET button for 10 seconds using something non-metallic. The light turns blue.

Never look at a lit UV lamp. The old lamp contains mercury, so recycle it the way you would a fluorescent tube.
